Ocala National Forest Completes Travel Management Process

 

December 14, 2007 – Ocala National Forest has announced the availability of its Decision Notice and Environmental Assessment (EA) for the management of 120,000 acres in the Sand Pine Scrub Ecosystem of the Forest.  The EA includes 529 miles of road, 21 miles of mixed-use roads and 96 miles of motorized trail.  The plan also includes four trailheads and eight OHV corrals to provide OHV parking.  All OHV use off designated routes is prohibited.
