United States Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management

Many National Forests and BLM lands provide excellent OHV riding opportunities. For this reason, we have provided the contact information for each National Forest in your state and your BLM state or regional office. Travel management on both USFS and BLM lands is an ongoing process, so it is important that you are aware of the relevant contact information in an effort to maintain responsible recreational access. Under the USFS Travel Management Rule, each National Forest is required to designate those roads, trails, and areas that are open to motor vehicle use. Once this designation process is complete and a Motor Vehicle Use Map is published, no OHV use will be allowed off of designated routes.
